Most Stylish, if you will

The first time I met a certain blogger friend, she asked me what I do for work. When I told her, she promptly asked, "Why don't you write about it?"
I explained the pattern of paid work related to my creative writing. When there's more of one, there tends to be less of the other. Call me bohemian if you feel it suits...
So yeah.
I work for Anglicare, as the local undercover athiest.
I definitely enjoy my work, and they encourage my creative side as far as music goes. But creative writing is another matter. The other day, I found myself encouraged within a creative scope in another direction.
At the Anglicare fun and recreation day, out in the nether lands of Castle Hill, I decided to be alone for a while after lunch and have a cigarette or two with a coffee, using my mobile to make plans after the event. Mind you, there wasn't much especially to celebrate and I figured I wasn't missing much of whatever was going on after lunch.
After a while, I made my way back to the crowd of 400 or so employees. On the way, I came across a colleague who told me there was an award ceremony going on. I said, "Oh."
To which he replied, "And you've won an award!"
Pause. Confusion.
"Are you serious?!"
"Yeah, well you missed out on recieving it but they'll probably call you out again."
So I make a beeline to the hall where everyone is seated and find my other colleagues seated at the back. As I joined them I was told the award I won was for 'Most interesting style.'
You're joking. I guess it makes sense if I wasn't even here to recieve it in that case. I may be eccentric, but to receive an award for it? If it was most influential, or inspirational, then it would have made my day - regardless, my name was once again called up and in my own style I showed my apprehension as I accepted the award.
Later on, me and my colleagues agreed to abbreviate the title of the award to 'Most Stylish.' We were sure that was what the CEO and his associates who judged the ceremony meant. Come to think of it, it was quite an achievement considering I was handpicked out of 400 employees by the bigtimers of the company whom I was surprised even knew my name.
And after that day, now all who work at Anglicare in the greater Sydney region know my as the one with the 'interesting style.' Henceforth the style in which I work, and dress, have been encouraged not just by my workplace, but every other workplace of the same company within a 35km (roughly) radius.
"HIS STYLE WAS KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE LAND, AND FROM THIS DAY FORTH, HE WILL BE CLAIMED - MOST STYLISH!" [Cheers, applause, hoots, whistles, etc]
