As we move forth into a nation of hyperbole and hypocrites criticising others for their criticism, I would like to take it all back to 1930's Keynesianism.
The welfare state, is surviving today through the knowledge that earning money means including the rest of the country in a bit of the good stuff. The capitalist economy, meanwhile, is surviving off the back of government coffers with which they can expect a bail-out from in the instance that, well, they bail.
Unfortunately, not much news from the Communist economy at this time - other than the gradual theory of One step at a time being implemented under the heavy eye of Government scrutiny.
And now, your hoemwork question. Why must we complain when we are fined for breaking bad with the law, when it is just that which is supporting us in all forms of public infrastructure? Would you prefer a viral youtube of your mother giving you a smack? You won't get much public support on that one.
Also worth mentioning, the Australian Health Minister is planning to unveil a crackdown on the recreational use of sun, enforcing sunscreen use nationwide and developing detectors for a similar purpose to Random Breath Testers.
It is suspected to exponentially (not substantially, that's for cigarettes) decrease the burden on the health system. The saved money will be used to make sure the baby boomers' pension and superannuation funds doesn't become too much of an issue for everyone not gainfully employed in the 1980's.
