Public Service Announcement

Do you remember the days of the horse and cart? If so, you are one in a million.
Do you remember the last road disaster you heard about? Well join the queue.
The city of Sydney and surrounding suburbs are a very important place. It is forever growing and becoming more international, and at the same time you don't have to walk more than 15 minutes out of the centre of the CBD to come across villages with local folklore.
The current mayor, CR Clover Moore, is backing something which those of a little off point may consider a backward step. She wants to get rid of boundaries between footpaths and roads in order to make the city more pedestrian friendly and less suitable for car hoons.
Coming from Bondi, I can understand the need to discourage cars in the area. Last Christmas was our most peaceful in my memory, with no cars allowed on the main drag and no anti-social types sussing out the local walkers and joggers to see if we dislike them as much as they enjoy dispising us. You really don't want to look at these guys the wrong way.
But they weren't there this year, which suits the people that live here just fine. And I'm sure the situation would be the same anywhere else in the world. The more pedestrians and public transport in a city, the more 'liveable' the city.
Every new road is doing you damage.
Every car is doing you damage.
Call Car Hoons Anonymous today, and make a difference. For yourself, and for the world you live in.

Walking neighborhoods in Sydney are so much more pleasant to live in, as well.
Unfortunately, people like their cars...

Its apart of culture in which people can't live without their cars, and something that i believe will one day be unlearned.
Waiting for the day,
